A highlight of the evening was the recognition of PM Solutions founder and CEO J. Kent Crawford, a founding member of the chapter.
On a memorable evening at the Delta Marriott in Sharonville, the PMI Southwest Ohio Chapter commemorated its 35th anniversary with a grand Gala Dinner and Celebration. The event brought together members, leaders, and supporters to honor the chapter's rich history and its significant contributions to the project management community.
A highlight of the evening was the recognition of PM Solutions founder and CEO J. Kent Crawford, a founding member of the chapter. In 1988, Kent, alongside Les Prudhomme and Kurt Keidel, initiated the formation of the Southwest Ohio Chapter during the PMI Congress in San Francisco. Starting with just 26 members, including 10 officers, the chapter has since grown to over 1, 000 members, ranking 36th among the 134 PMI chapters in the U.S. and 56th globally.
Kent's impact extends beyond the local chapter. As the founder and CEO of PM Solutions and PM College, he has been a pivotal figure in the project management field, including his leadership as a former President and Chair of PMI and Kent's authorship of influential published works like The Strategic Project Office.
As PMI Southwest Ohio looks to the future, the 35th Anniversary Gala served as a poignant reminder of the chapter's beginnings and its continued commitment to excellence in project management.
