Virtual Project Management Practices During the Pandemic and Beyond

At the end of a chaotic year, many organizations look back on the changes they made on the fly or were forced into and wonder: where do we go from here? Business as usual, in many sectors, is either slow to return or perhaps being redefined. A wealth of new research studies have recently appeared that endeavor to help organizations identify the value, or lack thereof, in the policies and procedures brought about by the pandemic. At PM Solutions Research, we wanted to zero in on project management practices specifically.

Based on our research report How We Thrived 2021, our research guru and editor-in-chief, Jeannette Cabanis-Brewin will discuss:

  • What did project-oriented organizations do differently?
  • What value did they derive?
  • What practices did they continue?
  • To what extent did organizations use virtual project management, training, and team interaction methods and tools before and during the pandemic?
  • Which of these practices and tools do organizations intend to continue using?
  • What were the results of overall organizational performance during this tumultuous time?
