The State of Project Management 2026

In 2020, we published The State of Project Management: Trends and Practices for a New Decade during a tumultuous pandemic that greatly affected the workplace. Our goal has always been to focus our research on what is important to organizations – Project Management Offices (PMOs), project portfolio management, people management, project management as a service (PMaaS). This year, there was one outstanding topic that’s become increasingly relevant to the practice of project management – the use of artificial intelligence (AI). Most organizations are trying to get their arms around how exactly to employ AI, so it’s time to put some numbers behind those AI trends.
