PM Solutions Welcomes Janet Burns as Director, PM Solutions

Burns has excelled as an independent project management consultant and instructor, specializing in PMO development and maturity improvement, including leading engagements for PM Solutions

CHADDS FORD, Pa. (Aug. 8, 2019) — PM Solutions, a project management consulting and training firm dedicated to helping organizations drive performance and operational efficiency, is pleased to announce the appointment of Janet Burns, PMP, CSM, as Director, PM Solutions, effective September 16, 2019. Burns will hold responsibility for the company’s day-to-day consulting operations, ensuring quality delivery and a unified team approach that reflects the company culture and encourages existing and new account growth.

Most recently, Burns has excelled as an independent project management consultant and instructor, specializing in PMO development and maturity improvement, including leading engagements for PM Solutions. Burns also serves as President of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI).

“I’ve had a great working relationship with PM Solutions and PM College for many years, first as a customer, then as a consultant and instructor. I’m looking forward to expanding my role and working within a well-established company that has such a legacy and a reputation of success in project management,” said Burns. 

Burns has implemented and led project maturity improvement programs for PMOs at a number of Fortune 500 companies throughout her career, including the New York Times, Viacom, Cigna, and more than 30 additional public and private sector organizations. With a career spanning more than 20 years in the project management field, she also has extensive experience with managing large software implementations and enterprise-wide process improvement projects. She develops and delivers training courses on all project management methodologies as well as Agile and Six Sigma.

Burns holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and was named to The PMI Power 50, a list celebrating 50 prolific leaders in project management.
