Mastering Performance Measurement

Posted on 28 Jun 2012

Numbers can tell a powerful story. Is a project successful? Is a new process working? Is our investment in training paying off? To insure that your numbers tell the right story, you need to be consistent in the planning, collection, and analysis of those numbers.

There are numerous ways to determine the performance and success of your programs, and measures necessary to one organization may not apply to another. That’s why it’s important to plan for measurement and to clearly understand the needs and goals of the organization in determining what to measure and why. The organization should seek to balance and streamline its measurement activities to insure the measures it chooses will result in strategic organization-level improvements.
