PMO of the Year Award Ceremony Held Last Night

November 8, 2011 | by Jeannette Cabanis-Brewin

... and a good time was had by all at the tropical-themed reception, judging from the smiles in the photo below showing (l to r) PMI's PMO Community of Practice President Rommy Musch, Karen Casey, VP of VSP Vision Care's Enterprise Solutions; Maria Urani of Nationwide Insurance's Delivery Services PMO; Robert Rausch, Director of the award-winning Dell Services Healthcare and Life Sciences PMO; and J. Kent Crawford, CEO of PM Solutions. Not present were the California Technology Agency staff, who were at home ... conserving taxpayer dollars. Their crystal trophy was accepted on their behalf by PMO of the Year program judge Steve Weber of Resultaire A.G.

Much as we hate to admit it, this award ceremony marks the official end of this year's PMO of the Year program. Stay tuned for news about the 2012 program here and on the program website. In the meantime, link up with us and with other PMO of the Year past finalists and future hopefuls on our PMO of the Year LinkedIn group, or peruse the best practices of past and present winners and finalists in our new book, An Inside Look at High-Performing PMOs.

Congratulations to all the finalists and, of course, to the Dell Services HCLS PMO staff.

Debbie Crawford says:

There was a lot of buzz about this award at the PMO Symposium, especially since The High Performing PMO’s book was released and given to attendees!  So many of the attendees wanted information on how to apply and inquired about the deadlines! I anticipate the number of applications doubling next year as more organizations pursue this prestigious award!!
