Call for Nominations — 2010 Project Management Office of the Year Award

GLEN MILLS, Pa. (March 2, 2010) — PM Solutions and the Project Management Institute’s Program Management Office Specific Interest Group (PMOSIG) are partnering to present the 2010 Project Management Office (PMO) of the Year Award. This is the first year that the non-profit, global association PMOSIG will co-sponsor the award program with PM Solutions. Nominations are now being accepted, and winners will be announced at the PMOSIG’s PMO Symposium on November 8-10, 2010 in Dallas.

Founded by PM Solutions in 2006, the PMO of the Year AwardSM recognizes PMOs each year that introduce novel ideas, methods and processes that result in measurable improvements and project management success within their organizations. All corporate and government PMOs are eligible for nomination, and entering the competition requires no fee.

“PMOs are playing an ever-increasing role in executing the strategies of the organizations they support,” said Kent Crawford, CEO of PM Solutions. “PM Solutions is proud to further expand the PMO of the Year award program — now in its fifth year — by partnering with an organization as respected as PMOSIG to continue honoring today’s top PMOs.”

Nominations for the 2010 PMO of the Year Award must be made by the director or manager of the PMO being nominated. Entry applications, judging criteria, information about the award and profiles of past winners are available at www.pmsolutions.com/pmoaward. The deadline for entries is May 31, 2010. The winner and top three finalists will be notified by e-mail on August 1, 2010.

“The PMO of the Year Award is held in high regard by our membership base of more than 4,000 around the world,” said Rommy Musch, Executive Chair of the PMOSIG. “We are delighted to co-sponsor this award program and recognize the distinguished contributions of PMOs that have achieved measurable business impacts.”
