The Manager Director, Consulting Services is responsible for establishing, building and supporting regional business for the firm. With full P&L responsibility, the ideal candidate will bring big consulting firm experience and a progressive history of success establishing and growing business in the professional services arena.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Full P & L responsibility and accountability to manage consulting business operations for a broad region.
- Develop and execute a strategy to grow the Philadelphia and two hour surrounding market and client base.
- Develop an annual financial plan, with responsibility for achieving the revenue, expense, operating margin and profit objectives in the plan.
- Identify, establish and grow personal revenue stream while providing client relationship management services and engagement oversight responsibilities.
- Expand intellectual capital and continued growth of consulting products and services through thought leadership, innovative solutions and knowledge management activities.
Revenue Generation
- Source (new clients), develop, establish and maintain a minimum revenue goal between $3M to $5M plus within two years
- Proven ability to target new client relationships
- Proven ability to provide hands-on engagement leadership and manage diverse engagement teams
Quality Delivery
- Setting Standards - Ensure that quality standards are set, understood and monitored across the region so that all client engagements are delivered to the highest standard
- Create proposals including recommended engagement approach, engagement schedule and deliverables, resource needs and other business inputs
- Managing Delivery - Ensure that all functions and individuals responsible for client delivery are performing at the highest standard
- Monitoring Performance - Maintain significant key client contact to ensure the quality of project delivery
Relationship Management
- External Client Relations - Develop and maintain senior client relationships to grow new clients, expand existing clients while ensuring referenceability of engagements
- Develop and grow a front-end capability that can sustain the planned revenue growth
- Ensure targeted marketing efforts to establish and maintain a highly credible and visible presence to uphold company position as a market leader
Education
- The successful candidate should have a Master’s degree and be certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years total experience in professional services, including at least five (5) years experience in a senior management role within a professional consulting organization. Significant Big 4 (or large professional firm) experience required.
- Has sold and managed large consulting engagements. Significant experience in leading teams to deliver and sell complex service offerings.
- Extensive knowledge of consulting best practices.
- A record of accomplishment that demonstrates the ability to sell, deliver and maintain client relationships that continuously generates revenue within the Philadelphia market.
- Strong leadership skills that demonstrate the ability to contribute to the growth of PM Solutions Philadelphia consulting practice.
- Ability to attract, build, mentor and direct a high-performing cohesive team
