IT Project Management Consultant

Successful candidates will have experience in both hands on IT project management, as well as excellent consultative background. Most be able to establish and manage project schedules and work breakdown structures to ensure project objectives are met. Create and drive project plans to optimize cross-functional resources. Coordinate activities of sub-teams. Control the day-to-day aspects of projects including multiple projects, with regard to scope, schedule, resources and budget.

Document and communicate status, issues, and risks in a timely manner to project team and senior management.

Build strong business relationships.

Manage project issues to resolution.

Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience leading IT software projects with project team sizes greater than 5 people.

Demonstrated experience leading IT projects in at least 2 technical areas, e.g. applications, infrastructure, operations, security, architecture.

Demonstrated experience in applying and improving project management methodology.

Demonstrated track record of delivering projects in scope, on-time, and within budget.

Outstanding oral and written communication.

Outstanding facilitation, leadership and problem solving skills.
We are seeking candidates who are either in commuting distance to Westport CT, live in the New England region or are willing to travel weekly.
