Project Planner

PM Solutions, a leading management consulting firm specializing in Project Management Consulting, Training/Development, and Research has exciting career opportunities for Project Planners in various locations.

Successful candidates will have experience preparing and keeping current master project plans as well as sub-project plans for monitoring and tracking the requirements and staying abreast of changes to requirements.  Other requirements include:
  • 5+ years in a lead planner role with experience developing and maintaining project-specific and high-level milestone deliverable master project plans to meet business objectives.
  • CAPM or PMP designation along with college education.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management with hands-on experience and proficiency using project management tools and computer based scheduling systems.
  • Demonstrated experience and involvement collecting, organizing and providing key data to Portfolio Management to update project status and impact on overall portfolio (timelines, budget, resources, delays).
  • Prepares executive summary of all exceptions on projects, inclusive of tasks that are behind schedule, tasks that are competing for the same resource, conflicting priorities and exemplary performance, etc. for executive review.
  • Knowledge and experience developing work breakdown structures (WBS), project earned valued principles, critical path method (CPM) schedules; and resource, costs and budget plans.
  • Skilled in reviewing project deliverables and technical documentation and must be capable of leading facilitation sessions for group review and project charter definition.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of MS Project, Primavera and other common project software tools and demonstrated understanding of networks, interdependencies and networks.

 

Candidates must be in commuting distance, and or willing to relocate to these geographies
