Managing Consultant for Assessments
As a consulting professional with PM Solutions you will be focused on helping our clients deliver results against some of their most complex business initiatives.
The successful candidate will thrive in new situations as you will be working at numerous client sites, experiencing new challenges, and displaying your abilities to quickly assimilate and succeed within diverse client environments and cultures. You need breadth and depth of theoretical knowledge combined with practical hands-on experience establishing and executing enterprise-level program, portfolio and project management practices. You’ll also need superior interpersonal and leadership skills to help clients champion and manage transformation and change. This position is 100% client facing role and requires travel to client sites, primarily in the eastern half of the United States. Your home office can be based anywhere in the US or Canada.

The candidate we are seeking will have extensive consulting experience and demonstrated success in conducting Organizational Assessments. Additionally, you will have depth & breadth of portfolio, program, and project management expertise with demonstrated consultative abilities.
Position Requirements:
- PM Maturity Assessment and Capability Improvement, including PM Methodology implementation
- PMO and Governance implementation / improvement (Implementation of “permanent” PMOs at the department or enterprise level, rather than temporary project or program offices that close when the initiative completes).
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, and knowledge of industry standards such as PMBOK Guide, OPM3, Prince2, CMMI, Agile/Scrum. Program (PgMp) or Portfolio Management (PfMP) certification.
- Establish communications plans and maintain excellent overall communications across the organization throughout the project.
- Identify and manage all significant issues and risks.
- Experience implementing standardized project management and portfolio management processes.
- 10+ Years hands-on client management experience.
- Commitment to a high level of integrity, honesty, openness, willingness to accept feedback, and engage in constructive debate.
- Proven decision-making capabilities and sound judgment, objectively evaluating pros, cons, trade-offs and alternatives.
- Master’s Degree Preferred, min Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience with Microsoft Project.
