Canada Health Infoway Portfolio Management Office Takes Top Honor at 2013 PMO Symposium

San Diego -  At Monday morning's PMO of the Year Award presentation, Rose Ann Radosevic accepted the 2013 award on behalf of her organization, the Canada Health Infoway Portfolio Management Office (see profile interview here). The award was presented by PMI CEO Mark Langley and PM Solutions CEO J. Kent Crawford during an event that Langley termed "a celebration of professional achievement." PMI's press release about the winner can be viewed here. There's also a "white paper" describing the winner and top two finalists posted on the PMO of the Year Hall of Fame page.

Crawford and Langley also presented awards to the runners-up in the competition, Bentley Motors and Jones Lang LaSalle, and described some of these organizations' achievements. After a light-hearted beach party kickoff on Sunday night, the awards presentation opened the business side of this conference, which hosts representatives of over 400 companies from 29 countries around the world. 10:45 am - 12 pm in the Regent room: "The Disruptive PMO: Change, Innovate and Lead" - led by PM Solutions' CEO J. Kent Crawford, this interactive multi-media presentation centers around how PMOs can become key facilitators of innovation by leveraging project portfolio selection and prioritization and leading organizational change. 

4 - 5:15 pm in the Seabreeze room: "Climbing the Ladder Means Letting Go" - led by PM Solutions' EVP and President of PM College, Deborah Bigelow Crawford, this presentation focuses on the premise that attributes that make you good at one level, can derail you at the next. A must attend for anyone currently moving up or aspiring to do so in their own career!
